Goth Pioneers THE WAKE Release A Deluxe Edition Of Their Seminal Album MASKED With A Slew Of Bonus Material!
Cleopatra Records, which helped to usher in and grow the gothic-industrial music scene of the ‘90s and beyond, is proud to team up with Columbus OH goth rockers, The Wake, for a very special re-issue of the band’s 1993 landmark album Masked! The album features the fan favorite “Nazarene,” a song that could be heard in every goth club around the world upon its original release (and still today!) and earned the band support slots for NIN, Skinny Puppy, Christian Death, And Also The Trees and more.
Vocalist for the band Troy Payne reflects back on the album and says, “With Masked, we unwittingly created a signature calling card as telling as fresh prints at a crime scene.”
The deluxe CD edition of Masked will be packaged in an attractive mini-LP gatefold sleeve and contains a bonus disc of unreleased mixes, demos and versions heard here for the first time ever. In addition, the album will see its first vinyl pressing on limited edition PURPLE vinyl!
