Finnish Indie Rockers To Eurovision?

Ahoy, Ahoy! What a wonderfull joy. Out of 540 demos sent to ‘Contest for New Music’ (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu), which replaced the Eurovision Song Contest qualifications this year in Finland, The Spyro made it to the TOP40 with their song ‘Teleport My Heart’

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is open to all songwriters and artists regardless of musical genre. After the assessment, based on jury selections, auditions and club gigs, the best entries will proceed to the impressive grand final, which will be held in Helsinki in February.

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu will be aired in January 2012. The winner of the competition will perform in front of an audience of 100 million people at the Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan in May.
