The first ever live album from the critical darlings of L.A.’s neo-psych rock scene, The Warlocks, arrives on Friday The 13th! Recorded live last year in Vevey Switzerland on the band’s massive European tour, Vevey highlights the best tracks from The Warlock\u2019s entire career, including tracks from their their newest studio album Songs From The Pale Eclipse. Longtime fans will not want to miss the invigorating new takes on favorites such as “Shake The Dope Out,” “It\u2019s Just Like Surgery,” “Baby Blue” and more. The album will be available on both CD in a mini-LP gatefold sleeve and in a 2LP set with colored vinyl (your choice of either Blue or Clear)! Head Warlock Bobby Hecksher shares his thoughts on this momentous release: \u201cThe Warlocks have literally hundreds of live recordings documented in one way or another over the last 17 years since we formed. I\u2019ve stacks of this crap! Some on DAT, Cassette, Reel To Reel, Off The Board CD, Tapers CD or upload, Live Stream, You Tube etc. We seemed to just be one of those bands everybody loves to record or something. The problem with a lot of these recordings is that they all have something wrong with them. Either it\u2019s on our end, like shoddy sound, or it\u2019s some sub-par recording like the low end is missing or people are talking over it. The other problem is I personally don\u2019t like a lot of live stuff for various reasons. I certainly don\u2019t collect it! That\u2019s pretty much ANY band sans maybe Spacemen 3 and Hawkwind. So I\u2019m super picky and hate nearly 95% of all live recordings. Live at Vevey represent the closest you are going to get to a live show by The Warlocks without going to one. It\u2019s also the closest it\u2019s going to get to original line up. JC, Corey and myself since inception. Plucky joined in about 2002. Earl and Chris about 7-8 years. So it\u2019s pretty close to \u2018the sound\u2019 I\u2019ve envisioned for this project. We didn\u2019t know this was being recorded and the engineer Wassim just does this stuff for fun. It\u2019s recorded and mixed with love just because! And it shows! It sounds great! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!\u201d<\/p>\n
