IZZ guitarist, Paul Bremner\u2019s new studio album, The Witness, is scheduled for release on April 26, 2016. IZZ fans have grown to associate Paul\u2019s distinctive and melodic guitar playing with the \u201cIZZ Sound\u201d. Paul has earned the respect of the progressive rock community by writing such memorable songs as \u201cLight From Your Eyes\u201d, \u201cIlluminata\u201d and co-writing the IZZ classics \u201cLate Night Salvation\u201d and \u201cCan\u2019t Feel the Earth, Part II,\u201d among many others. Paul\u2019s new studio album of 10 songs showcases both his dynamic guitar playing and his penchant for writing emotional music and lyrics. <\/div>\n

\u201cI am thrilled to release this collection of songs\u201d says Bremner. \u201cThey feature a wide range of moods and emotions and I think IZZ fans will find them intriguing and satisfying.\u201d<\/div>\n

The first track of the album \u201cFrom Here I Can See the Horizon\u201d features a powerful and exciting lead vocal performance from Anmarie Byrnes while the emotionally charged \u201cWarm\u201d spotlights a hauntingly beautiful lead vocal from Laura Meade. The energetic fury of the title track \u201cThe Witness\u201d features Brian Coralian on drums while Greg DiMiceli is showcased on several tracks including the jazz\/funk-inspired \u201cNo Remorse\u201d.<\/div>\n

Tom Galgano, who sings lead vocals on several tracks and who engineered and co-produced the album with Bremner notes, \u201cEvery song on this album is different and yet they are all connected by Paul\u2019s unique guitar sound and songwriting. It\u2019s been an absolute pleasure working on this album \u2013 in fact in many ways it\u2019s been like working on an \u2018alternate\u2019 IZZ record.\u201d<\/div>\n

The last track on the album, \u201cLast Exit Before Toll\u201d comes in at over 20 minutes and encompasses the full range of Bremner\u2019s musical palette. \u201cI am very happy to include this extended piece which I hope will take the listener on a journey; and I am happy that it features all of my IZZ band mates.\u201d<\/div>\n
