Blues Brothers will sign and develop blues artists, with Ackroyd&#8217;s multiple blues platforms to be used for promotion, reports\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/6502167\/dan-aykroyd-blues-brothers-records\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard<\/a>. Blue Note presiden Don Was\u00a0will handle A&amp;R duties for Blues  Brothers Records, Judy Belushi will be the creative director and Blues  Brothersmanager Eric Gardner will run the administrative side of the  label.  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The music is vibrant,&#8221; Aykroyd told the publication. &#8220;By working  with a first-class producer in Don and using BluesMobile to help sell,  there&#8217;s a good shot at getting some traction.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gardner adds:\u00a0&#8220;Danny has been a beacon for decades for the blues, one  of the most challenging [genres] to get into the commercial  marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the digital age a lot of labels don&#8217;t have the wherewithal or the  financing to have strong digital strategies and I think that has led to  the paucity of strong blues labels.
