{"id":4971,"date":"2015-02-11T10:48:17","date_gmt":"2015-02-11T10:48:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/skylight.gr\/administrator_wordpress\/index.php\/2015\/02\/11\/who-wrote-ymca\/"},"modified":"2015-02-11T10:48:17","modified_gmt":"2015-02-11T10:48:17","slug":"who-wrote-ymca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skylight.gr\/index.php\/2015\/02\/11\/who-wrote-ymca\/","title":{"rendered":"Who wrote Y.M.C.A.?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/thumb\/4\/4d\/VPStarfront.jpg\/220px-VPStarfront.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>A trial is due to begin this week to establish who wrote 24 of the Village People&#8217;s songs including Y.M.C.A.<\/p>\n<p>Original band member Victor Willis <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicweek.com\/news\/read\/village-people-singer-wins-in-historic-us-copyright-case\/048841\" target=\"_blank\">won a court ruling in May 2012<\/a> to reclaim the rights to his share of the group&#8217;s songs.
