Morrissey had previously posted a statement on fan site True to You, claiming the order came from label head Steve Barnett. Billboard said a source told them that Morrissey actually owed Harvest one more album.  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Now, Morrissey has responded to Billboard, saying they\u2019re wrong and he can prove it\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Billboard report Morrissey Wasn\u2019t Dropped By His Record Label<\/p>\n<p>16 August 2014<\/p>\n<p>In response to Andrew Flanagan\u2019s incorrect report for Billboard online (15 August 2014), both Morrissey and Morrissey\u2019s lawyer are in possession of email correspondence from Steve Barnett (head of Capitol-Harvest Records), and also from Steve Barnett\u2019s personal assistant, both of whom confirm that Capitol-Harvest have ended their relationship with Morrissey. No recording Agreement with Capitol-Harvest was ever signed by Morrissey, and Morrissey retains full ownership of World Peace is None Of Your Business. Contrary to the assured Billboard report, Capitol-Harvest have very clearly stated that they would have no interest in licensing a second album by Morrissey.
