Kobalt has launched a new technical integration to help artists and songwriters claim missing income from YouTube videos. Created in response \u201cto the music industry\u2019s growing challenge of detecting, collecting and reporting income from the mass of videos uploaded to YouTube daily\u201d, the detection technology has reportedly matched over 50 million videos to date and over 1 billion YouTube streams per month.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Also recently revealed is Kobalt\u2019s\u00a0proprietary detection technology ProKlaim. The function supplements\u00a0YouTube\u2019s own in-house fingerprinting technology to match copyright information with unclaimed YouTube UGC videos featuring music.<\/p>\n

Willard\u00a0Ahdritz, founder and CEO of\u00a0Kobalt\u00a0Music Group said: \u201cOur mission has always been to help artists and songwriters maximize their digital revenue. Our technical integration with YouTube now allows us to do that in a groundbreaking way.<\/p>\n

It also enables us to deliver daily-automated feeds of updated new, claimed and blocked content to ensure\u00a0we are quickly resolving any rights conflicts for our clients.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne hit song can generate up to 50,000 user-generated videos, many of which remain unclaimed by its proper rights owners. With the launch of\u00a0ProKlaim, we are seeing a phenomenal increase in the speed and accuracy in which we find and claim missing content.\u201d<\/p>\n

The announcement comes just under a year since the company debuted their Kobalt Portal<\/a>, an analytics engine that is said to provide transparent, user-friendly, live reporting giving clients access to a range of account activity, including YouTube video streams and their respective income.<\/p>\n
