Featuring rare memorabilia relating to David Bowie, Lou Reed, Genesis, The Ramones, Talking Heads, The Clash, Roxy Music and Queen, \u201cThe Evolution of Friars\u201d music exhibition includes concert posters, original photographs, paraphernalia from Friars\u2019 archives, and musical instruments and equipment used by some of the most prestigious names to pass through Friars\u2019 doors.  <!--more-->  <br \/>The exhibition will be housed at the Buckinghamshire County Museum. Friars\u2019 most memorable night took place on January 29th 1972, when David Bowie chose the venue to perform as Ziggy Stardust for the very first time.<\/p>\n<p>The birthplace of one of the UK\u2019s most culturally significant icons, a section of Stardust\u2019s satin sequined shirt, which was ripped-off by overzealous fans during the concert, will be on show at the exhibition. Vivian Symonds, one such fan who managed to come away with a piece of Bowie\u2019s shirt, will be at the opening night of the exhibition. <\/p>\n<p>David Stopps a British music industry veteran, who founded Friars in 1969, is renowned for bringing some of the biggest artists in music history to the venue long before they enjoyed mainstream success. \u201cI have been hoping to present a major exhibition at Friar\u2019s for years, \u201centhuses Stopps.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s finally going to happen.
