Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985 and subsequently pursued former bandmates Nick Mason and David Gilmour through the courts for their continued use of the Pink Floyd name and material. Now, in a new interview set to be broadcast on BBC World News\u2019 HARDtalk tomorrow night (September 19) Water says he was wrong and that he regrets the decisions he made.  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I did, I did think that was wrong, and I was wrong!&#8221; Waters tells host Stephen Sackur. &#8220;Of course I was. Who cares? It was a commercial decision and in fact it\u2019s one of the few times that the legal profession has taught me something. Because when I went to these chaps and said &#8216;listen we\u2019re broke, this isn\u2019t Pink Floyd anymore&#8217;, they went &#8216;what do you mean? That\u2019s irrelevant, it is a label and it has commercial value, you can&#8217;t say it\u2019s going to cease to exist, you obviously haven\u2019t looked back to Runnymede, you obviously don\u2019t understand English jurisprudence\u2026It\u2019s not about what you think, it\u2019s about\u2026it\u2019s what it is&#8217;. The law is everything what we have, that\u2019s what the Wall is about.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Waters also revealed he plans to release a new solo album, his first since &#8216;\u00c7a Ira&#8217; in 2005. &#8220;I\u2019ve had a few breakthroughs recently which I won\u2019t talk about, but I am going to make another record. I\u2019ve had a very very strong idea, and I shall pursue it, and I will make at least one more record and I am really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into it. Earlier this year, Pink Floyd&#8217;s back catalogue arrived on Spotify after fans streamed their song &#8216;Wish You Were Here&#8217; one million times.
