Scalding Hail (Evisceration Plague, 2009) is a frenetic song less than two minutes in length off CC\u2019s latest record.\u00a0 George \u201cCorpsegrinder\u201d Fisher\u2019s (\u201cGF\u2019s\u201d) vocals kicked in less than five seconds, \u201cFlying chunks of hot debris rushing through the air.\u00a0 Vapors causing blisters eyes blinded by the glare.\u00a0 Clouds that shower death hell falling from the sky.\u00a0 Searing rain of molten rock, flesh begins to fry.\u201d\u00a0 GF sang the first three verses in quick succession with Pat O\u2019Brien (\u201cPO\u201d) and Rob Barrett\u2019s (\u201cRB\u2019s\u201d) guitar riffs of less than five seconds separating each verse.\u00a0 After the third verse GF screamed, \u201cScalding hail!\u201d\u00a0 GF paused three seconds between the two words, screaming the second with more conviction than the first.\u00a0 GF wore an Evocation (Swedish death metal band) black t\u2011shirt, black cargo cotton slacks, and black combat boots. \u00a0After the first chorus, from approximately the 0:50 to 1:05 marks (approximations presumed throughout), PO, RB, and Alex Webster (\u201cAW\u201d) played frenetic riffs.\u00a0 After the second chorus PO, RB, AW, and Paul Mazurkiewicz (\u201cPM\u201d) played their instruments, sounding like a possessed hornet\u2019s nest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/unleashing.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">2. Unleashing the Bloodthirsty (Bloodthirst, 1999) is a fairly slow tempo song with an ominous brooding feel.\u00a0 PO, RB, and PM\u2019s verse riffs gave the song a chugging, groovy feel.\u00a0 The tempo slightly slowed down when GF twice repeated the chorus, \u201cBlood.\u00a0 They live, they thirst.\u00a0 Blood.\u201d\u00a0 GF emphasized the first and last words by screaming, \u201cBlooooooood.\u201d\u00a0 The tempo significantly increased when GF sang the third verse, \u201cFirst one that they find.\u00a0 Attack the mortal.\u00a0 Claws tear at his face.\u00a0 Pull the flesh from bone.\u00a0 Decapitate the man.\u00a0 They hold his head aloft.\u00a0 Headless body slumps.\u00a0 The blood is gushing out.\u00a0 Screaming victims fall.\u00a0 Repulsive beasts attack.\u00a0 Gore pours from the torso.\u00a0 Hellish creatures stab.\u00a0 Organs, grisly trophies.\u00a0 Rewards for their rage.\u00a0 Blood drips from their jaws.\u00a0 They disembowel the corpse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The third chorus differed from the first two because GF sang, \u201cKill with speed.\u00a0 Victims bleed.\u00a0 Wretched souls.\u00a0 Headless on poles. (five\u2011second pause) Savage thirst.\u00a0 Vessels burst.\u00a0 Torn apart.\u00a0 Eat the heart.\u201d\u00a0 Following the third verse RB and PO traded guitar solos for 15\u00a0seconds.\u00a0 PO, RB, AW, and PM then jammed for 10\u00a0seconds, leading back to the first two choruses that featured a fairly slow tempo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/murder worship.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">3. Murder Worship (Kill, 2006) began amidst a sea of PM\u2019s bass drums while PO and RB twice played a catchy four-chord progression.\u00a0 At the 0:20 mark GF began singing the first verse.\u00a0 The verses featured PM smashing his snare drums a la Dave Lombardo (Slayer drummer) and PO and RB playing a driving series of up tempo riffs.\u00a0 During the break between the first and second verses PO and RB twice played the catchy four-chord progression.\u00a0 After the first chorus GF sang, \u201cPray to our god.\u00a0 With blood we praise his epic acts of hate and homicidal glory, legendary murders.\u00a0 Trust in our lord.\u00a0 Leads us to kill in the same way that he did, sever all the heads in sacrificial splendor.\u00a0 He is close now.\u00a0 Soon he will be among us leading, violence, ruin, divinity, homicideeeeeeee!\u201d\u00a0 Before GF sang the third verse, from the 2:30 to 3:10 marks, PO, RB, and AW alternated between chugging and complicated riffs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/sentenced.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">4. Sentenced to Burn (Gallery of Suicide, 1998) is an up tempo song that featured PO, RB, and AW\u2019s chugging riffs.\u00a0 From the 0:15 to 1:05 marks GF sang the 40\u00a0lines of the first verse in rapid succession and emphasized the final word of the last verse, \u201cThey will all dieeeeeeee.\u201d After the first chorus PO played a five\u2011second guitar run.\u00a0 When GF sang the second chorus he screamed the final word, \u201cPile the bodies.\u00a0 Set them aflame.\u00a0 The human race.\u00a0 Sentenced to burrrrrrrrn.\u201d\u00a0 From the 2:05 to 2:15 marks PO and RB played riffs with harmonies, which was followed by PO\u2019s 15\u2011second guitar solo.\u00a0 PO wore a black t\u2011shirt with an unidentifiable band\u2019s name, black cargo cotton slacks, and black combat boots.\u00a0 PO played a black B.C. Rich Custom\u00a0V guitar and used Mesa Boogie amplifiers (\u201camps\u201d).<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/savage butchery.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">5. Savage Butchery (Gore Obsessed, 2002) is a frenetic song less than two minutes in length.\u00a0 During the first verse GF sang, \u201cStriking out with rage I pound him, stomp him.\u00a0 Co*k sucking bastard don\u2019t feel mercy for him.\u00a0 With bare hands I break his legs, break his neck.\u00a0 Now my jagged blade will bring him to his death.\u00a0 Savage killer merciless machine.\u00a0 Butchering victims and watching them bleed.\u00a0 Savage killer chopping off limbs.\u00a0 Butchering for revenge, heartless assassin.\u00a0 Now the cutting starts I stab him, slash him.\u00a0 Less than a minute he became a victim.\u00a0 Now I will sever his legs, his neck.\u00a0 Hatred enemy his body I dissect. \u00a0Savage.\u201d\u00a0 The tempo slowed during the chorus as GF sang, \u201cSavage\u00a0\u2026 butchery.\u00a0 Ravage\u00a0\u2026 ruthlessly.\u201d\u00a0 GF emphasized and spaced out each word.\u00a0 PO then played a 15\u2011second guitar solo after which GF brought the song to a climax by screaming, \u201cSavage\u00a0butchery. \u00a0Savage.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/cryptic stench.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">6. The Cryptic Stench (Tomb of the Mutilated, 1992).\u00a0 Before The Cryptic Stench GF said, \u201cWe\u2019re gonna do some old stuff now.\u00a0 Are you ready for some old stuff?\u00a0 The Cryptic Stench!\u201d\u00a0 The Cryptic Stench is a mid tempo song that, for the first 55\u00a0seconds, featured the band headbanging in unison amidst a sea of blue lights, as well as the musical talents of PO, RB, AW, and PM, particularly PM who bashed the life out of his tom-tom drums.\u00a0 After the first verse GF sang an interesting catchy line, \u201cIndulgence in the blood, intoxicated from its drug.\u00a0 It warms my cold soul.\u201d\u00a0 GF sang each verse in a lower than usual octave with little pause between verses.\u00a0 However, GF did make a five\u2011second pause after the third verse during which PO and RB\u2019s memorable riffs were highlighted.\u00a0 After the fourth verse the band slowed the tempo for 20\u00a0seconds before the mid tempo pace resumed and GF sang my favorite verse, \u201cIn my clutch, you greet me with open arms.\u00a0 Soon I will rip them off.\u00a0 And drink the blood from the stumps.\u00a0 Life and death are too clear.\u00a0 But mankind is blind to see.\u00a0 The twisted path of their own mortality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/pounded.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">7. Pounded Into Dust (Bloodthirst, 1999).\u00a0 Before Pounded Into Dust GF said, \u201cWell I know everybody out there has someone in their lives whose head you want to bash in.\u00a0 But you shouldn\u2019t do that because it will get you into jail.\u00a0 Instead take your aggression out in the pit.\u201d\u00a0 Pounded Into Dust is a fairly fast tempo two\u2011minute song.\u00a0 GF sang the first two verses in fairly rapid fashion as if comprised of run\u2011on sentences, \u201cForces of hate meet.\u00a0 Gather for the siege.\u00a0 Encircling their foe.\u00a0 The raid begins.\u00a0 Their revenge is sought.\u00a0 Through violence, smashing, killing, stabbing, pounding.\u00a0 Iron weapons clash.\u00a0 Evil warriors strike.\u00a0 Hammers cracking skulls.\u00a0 Axes chopping heads.\u00a0 Their revenge is now.\u00a0 Through violence, smashing, killing, stabbing, pounding.\u201d\u00a0 GF then sang the first chorus during which he emphasized the final word and drew it out with much audience participation, \u201cBlood soaks the ground.\u00a0 In their own, they will drown.\u00a0 Surrounded by disgust.\u00a0 Pounded into duuuuuuuust.\u201d\u00a0 After the third verse PO played a five\u2011second solo.\u00a0 GF then sang the third and final chorus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/wretched spawn 1.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">8. The Wretched Spawn (The Wretched Spawn, 2004).\u00a0 Before The Wretched Spawn AW raised the devil horns to salute the crowd while GF said, \u201cIt\u2019s time to slow things down.\u00a0 The Wretched Spawn.\u201d\u00a0 The first 25 seconds of The Wretched Spawn features PO, RB, and AW playing complicated riffs.\u00a0 AW was particularly prominent in the mix.\u00a0 AW is an exceedingly underrated bass player who plucks the bass strings a la Steve Harris (Iron Maiden bassist), often doing so with all four fingers of his right hand.\u00a0 AW wore a Eulogy (death metal band from Tampa, Florida) black t\u2011shirt, black jean pants, black sneakers, and black wristbands on both wrists.\u00a0 AW played a black Modulus Quantum 5 five\u2011string bass and used SWR Megoliath amps. GF sang the first verse at a fairly slow tempo, \u201cConceived through rape.\u00a0 Procreate.\u00a0 A vicious brood.\u00a0 Ravaging intercourse.\u00a0 Penetrate with force.\u00a0 Forsaken, nude.\u201d\u00a0 The chorus featured an interesting catchy exchange between GF\u2019s vocal deliveries quickly followed by PO and RB playing the same melody sung by GF as palm\u2011muted, harmonic riffs.\u00a0 The chorus has an interesting twist in that after GF sang the second chorus he went straight into the third chorus with slightly varying lyrics, \u201cSpawn of the wretched, bred from the damned.\u00a0 Gone are the instincts normal for man.\u00a0 Spawn of the wanton loins of the cruel.\u00a0 Spawned by brute force, used as a tool.\u00a0 The wretched spawn, violence will rule.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/wretched spawn 2.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">From the 2:15 to 2:30 marks PO, RB, AW, and PM engaged in a frenetic jam immediately followed by GF screaming, \u201cScion of the murders.\u00a0 A bloodline so profane.\u00a0 Born insane.\u00a0 Predestined to annihilate.\u00a0 Through sinister eugenics.\u00a0 Sworn to kill, they will.\u201d\u00a0 As GF sang the final line the tempo drastically decreased.\u00a0 The tempo gradually increased as GF screamed, \u201cIt was made to kill!\u201d\u00a0 GF then played air drums in unison with PM\u2019s bass drums and engaged in his signature headbanging, firmly grasping his microphone with his right hand, resting his left hand on his thigh, and rapidly rotating his head bent forward in sweeping clockwise fashion.\u00a0 All that was visible of GF\u2019s head was a long mane of auburn hair swirling around like a whirling dervish.\u00a0 AW joined GF in rotating his head while masterfully performing three-finger string plucking.\u00a0 PO and RB traded guitar solos for 15 seconds.\u00a0 The Wretched Spawn led straight into Gutted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"><br \/>\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/gutted.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"mso-tab-count: 1;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>9. Gutted (Butchered at Birth, 1991) begins with PO and RB\u2019s chugging riffs.\u00a0 At the 0:20\u00a0mark GF began singing the first verse in a particularly low octave and fast pace without much pause between verse lines.\u00a0 Following the first and second verses PO, RB, and AW played ominous, mid tempo riffs for 10\u00a0seconds reminiscent of early Slayer.\u00a0 The mid tempo continued part way through the second verse, until the 1:15 mark, at which point the tempo escalated.\u00a0 Between the second and third verses PO, RB, and AW played a dizzying array of riffs while PM frenetically bashed the life out of his bass drums.\u00a0 Gutted and two other songs to be performed received the strongest audience reaction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/evisceration.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">10. Evisceration Plague (Evisceration Plague, 2009).\u00a0 Before Evisceration Plague the audience began a well\u2011deserved homage during which they repeatedly chanted, \u201cGeorge.\u201d\u00a0 GF responded by saying, \u201cThank you.\u00a0 That is awesome.\u00a0 We have a new album.\u00a0 It has been out for a while.\u00a0 You should have it or I will find you and kill you.\u00a0 Some of you sick mother f**kers will like that.\u201d\u00a0 Evisceration Plague is a mid tempo song.\u00a0 For the first 35\u00a0seconds PO and RB played a chugging, brooding riff amidst green stage lights.\u00a0 Between each verse PO played a searing 10\u2011second guitar run atop RB\u2019s ominous riffs.\u00a0 During the catchy chorus GF sang, \u201cBeg for your life, you won\u2019t escape the knife.\u00a0 Your fate was sealed today.\u00a0 Disease will spread, you pray for death.\u00a0 Evisceration plague.\u201d \u00a0PM\u2019s bass drums and the audience\u2019s repeated chant of \u201cHoy!\u201d augmented the chorus.\u00a0 At the end of the third verse, while PB frantically struck his bass drums, GF sang, \u201cMy entrails are in my hands (sung two times).\u00a0 Plague leads to death (sung four times).\u201d\u00a0 PO then played a 25\u2011second guitar solo.\u00a0 The signature aspect of Evisceration Plague is how its melody featured by GF\u2019s singing, PO and RB\u2019s riffs, and PB\u2019s drumming all presented a united front creating an evil wall of sound that compelled the audience to bang their heads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/paul.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">11. Disfigured (Vile, 1996).\u00a0 The band briefly paused after Evisceration Plague during which GF simply growled, \u201cDisfigured.\u201d\u00a0 Disfigured is a mid tempo song highlighting PB\u2019s drumming skills, particularly his heavy\u2011handed beating of (1)\u00a0cymbals during the verses and (2)\u00a0bass and tom\u2011tom drums during the choruses.\u00a0 PM wore a black t\u2011shirt and shorts.\u00a0 PM played a red Tama drum kit featuring subtle black speckles, double bass drums, and Zildjian cymbals.\u00a0 PM\u2019s kit features an interesting set up with his drum stool positioned very low to the ground.\u00a0 [The stool height and lack of a drum riser gave an odd appearance to the kit, making it almost appear as if PM was hiding behind it or driving a lowrider (i.e.,\u00a0car with a suspension system modified with hydraulic suspension to ride as low as possible to the ground).]<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/disfigured.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">The third verse contains particularly enticing lyrics, \u201cA straight razor will reshape my face.\u00a0 First my ears then my nose.\u00a0 Blood is gushing continue to carve.\u00a0 Erase the face I hate.\u201d\u00a0 From the 1:40 to 2:10 marks the tempo escalated as PB frantically hit his snare drums and GF sang, \u201cI fill my tub, with alcohol.\u00a0 I plunge into the burning pool.\u00a0 The pain intense, my whole body\u00a0&#8230; is drenched in scalding liquid.\u00a0 Despite my pain I am able\u00a0\u2026 to grab a lighter on the counter.\u00a0 The flint ignites, the flames erupt.\u00a0 I\u2019m consumed in the inferno.\u00a0 Cauterize\u00a0\u2026 my skin is charred.\u00a0 Regenerate\u00a0\u2026 more loathsome than before.\u201d\u00a0 The tempo slightly slowed down as GF sang the fifth and sixth verses.\u00a0 Disfigured does not feature a guitar solo.\u00a0 However, from the 3:00 to 3:50 marks, PO, RB, AW, and PM jammed at a mid tempo pace.\u00a0 At the end of the song PO and RB played a lingering note accentuated by use of their guitar tremolo bars amidst a wall of feedback.\u00a0 [The searing feedback was loud enough to Disfigure the faces of those in close proximity to the amps.]<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/scattered remains.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">12. This is OUR time.\u00a0 Throw them in the pit and Make Them Suffer!\u201d\u00a0 Make Them Suffer is a very frenetic song that, at the 0:10 mark, featured GF scream, \u201cSuffeeeeeeeer!\u201d\u00a0 Between the second and third verses PO and RB played a dizzying array of complicated riffs augmented by PM\u2019s driving bass and tom\u2011tom drums.\u00a0 [RB moved his left hand so quickly across the fretboard it resembled a hummingbird\u2019s wings in mid flight.]\u00a0 RB wore an Infernal Majesty (thrash band from Toronto, Canada) black t\u2011shirt, black cargo cotton pants, black boots, and black wristbands on both wrists.\u00a0 RB primarily played a grey Dean guitar with black trim and sparingly played a black Dean guitar with red trim.\u00a0 RB used Mesa Boogie amps.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PO, RB, and AW played the same melody GF sang during the first chorus.\u00a0 GF twice sang the chorus before and after PO\u00a0played a 10\u2011second guitar solo amidst the battery of PM\u2019s bass drums. \u00a0The lyrics for each chorus slightly varied.\u00a0 For the first chorus GF sang, \u201cMake them suffer while they plead for cessation.\u00a0 Entirely demoralized and close to mass extinction.\u00a0 Damned to please supremacy.\u00a0 The reason for their martyrdom they will never know.\u201d\u00a0 GF thrice repeated the phrase, \u201cMake them suffer\u201d before singing the second part of the chorus, \u201cMake them suffer while they bleed through damnation.\u00a0 Begged for retribution before meeting with demise.\u00a0 Cursed by animosity.\u00a0 Once chosen for this mad ordeal there is no escape.\u201d\u00a0 Make Them Suffer was the most technically proficient song the band performed<br \/>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/images\/Persons\/Cannibal_Corpse_Live_Review\/priests of sodom.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 200%;\">14.
