Rather than following a conventional vocal-led structure, the song relies on the repetition and slow build-up of particular guitar motives, enabling the instrumentation itself to take on the role of the main storyteller. The track’s identity is rooted in the guitar sound, which provides a rough surface and a repetitive rhythm that creates a hypnotic effect. The drums have a mechanical tone that makes the precise rhythm difficult to identify, while still providing an effective accompaniment for the guitars. Interestingly, their constant beat gives the track an almost dancy feeling, contrasting with the lo-fi, alternative rock style of the guitars. A clear independent attitude runs through ‘Planet X’. Rather than trying to sound overly polished or technically sophisticated, it embraces repetition, layered sounds and groove to develop its character. The combination of raw guitars, mechanical rhythms, and upbeat indie undertones gives the track an uplifting feel while maintaining its alternative edge.

https://watsonbradley.bandcamp.com

‘Planet X’ opens with the sound of raw indie-rock guitars, which give the track an…

[14,5
365,44,5245
post-32099","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pop-rock-reviews","category-reviews","tag-alternative-rock","tag-indie-rock","tag-watson-bradley
["GET
