Virginia Beach hard rockers PILLBUSTER are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of their stoner rock-tinged self-titled full-length album, hitting stores on August 6, 2013 via Stonerkill Records. The album was recorded at Osceola Studios in Raleigh, NC with Dick Hodgin (COC, Velvet Revolver, Lynyrd Skynyrd). Fans can pre-order the record NOW on Amazon.com at this link<\/a>.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\u201cWe spent the better part of a year putting our hearts and souls into the writing of this record. After performing it for our fans at several shows, we decided to solidify our project by recording at Dick Hodgin’s Osceola Studios in Raleigh, NC,\u201d states PILLBUSTER guitarist Joe Festa. \u201cDick understood our sound from the beginning and really worked hard at capturing it. We initially went to him because of his portfolio, but we ended up getting so much more from him. He is as much a part of the sound of this record as any of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe adds, \u201cWe really put everything we had into this and we hope our fans like it.\u00a0 It\u2019s just straight up in your face and raw, classic metal!\u201d<\/p>\n

PILLBUSTER is set to perform on June 29th at Mugzy\u2019s Grill, located at 1312 E. Pembroke Ave. in Hampton, VA. More information on this show is set to be released soon. The band is currently planning an album release show in August, and also plans to tour in August\/September 2013.<\/p>\n

In 2011, four men from different parts of the U.S. came together in Virginia to create what would become PILLBUSTER. Influenced by the deep rooted, swampy sounds of southern metal, east coast hardcore, punk, and straight up rock, PILLBUSTER proves that genres cannot bind.<\/p>\n

Each band member brings a different element of influence to the table, helping to create a simple yet complex sound reminiscent of times when music wasn’t over produced and cookie cut for the masses. PILLBUSTER’s sound is hard, in your face and raw. Every song has crushing grooves, pounding rhythms with pain ridden vocals and vicious arrangements, inviting the listener to experience the influences and story of the band.<\/p>\n
