The music begins slowly, setting a mysterious, cinematic atmosphere with piano and electronic sounds similar to Pink Floyd, but with a jazzy, kaleidoscopic twist. As the saxophone joins in, the track becomes increasingly psychedelic, sounding almost like Elton Dean improvising in the middle of a desert. The arrangement develops gradually, with each new element entering at precisely the right moment to contribute to the growing psychedelic soundscape. As the piece expands, influences of post-rock and progressive rock emerge through the guitar playing, moving further into the foreground and giving the composition a beautiful feeling of depth. The combination of electronic elements, jazz improvisation and rock instrumentation creates an ever-evolving atmosphere without losing its central mood. The drumming is also good, as it seems to have a stronger presence than its role in the overall arrangement might suggest. It drives the music forward while giving the other instruments enough space to develop, contributing to the track’s hypnotic progression. ‘A Woman in the Dunes’ is an immersive, psychedelic journey that combines a cinematic atmosphere with jazz experimentation and progressive and post-rock influences.

According to Bruno Arredondo, ‘A Woman in the Dunes’ was inspired by Hiroshi Teshigahara’s beautiful…

[14,5
5274,507,1522,125
post-31849","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pop-rock-reviews","category-reviews","tag-bruno-arredondo","tag-jazz-fusion","tag-post-rock","tag-prog
["GET
