Musically, the song begins with electronic beats and distorted synth sounds, creating an odd atmosphere until the guitars join in and boost the arrangement. During the chorus, the guitars &#8220;crash&#8221;\u00a0into the audio\u00a0mix, giving the music a funky alternative-rock vibe and providing a sound that is technically &#8220;wrong&#8221; but artistically highly powerful. There&#8217;s a sense of controlled chaos here, with the roughness becoming part of the song&#8217;s personality rather than something to be fixed. The music has an upbeat tempo, and the vocal performance sometimes recalls Pulp&#8217;s characteristic style, giving the arrangement a slightly strange Britpop character. At the same time, the electronic parts make obvious parallels with 1990s electronic music, resulting in an interesting crossover between alternative rock and classic electronic sounds. The combination may sound weird and even little puzzling at first, but as you listen, the internal flow begins to make sense.
