There are elements of The Birthday Party&#8217;s raw energy, Madrugada&#8217;s dark emotional mood, and even The Cramps&#8217; early garage-punk philosophy. Rather than copy these musicians, Magpies incorporate parts of each to create a distinctive musical identity that is&nbsp;unique. The tempo remains intentionally slow all through, allowing the powerful guitar hooks to become the primary focus of the piece.
