{"id":3040,"date":"2013-05-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-05-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/skylight.gr\/administrator_wordpress\/index.php\/2013\/05\/09\/live-nation-entertainment-beats-revenue-expectations\/"},"modified":"2013-05-09T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-05-09T00:00:00","slug":"live-nation-entertainment-beats-revenue-expectations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skylight.gr\/index.php\/2013\/05\/09\/live-nation-entertainment-beats-revenue-expectations\/","title":{"rendered":"Live Nation Entertainment Beats Revenue Expectations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/t0.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS0hsUA_g8B_ZHkRO1Hsv8QHoxYAXHMObz0ynbbrBsykYfcov5Q\" border=\"0\" width=\"99\" height=\"156\" \/><br \/>&#8220;Our concert ticket sales for all events this year are up 26 percent,&#8221; says CEO Michael Rapino.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Live Nation Entertainment on Tuesday reported first-quarter revenue that increased more than 6 percent to $924 million, beating the expectations of analysts by about $3.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>The giant concert promoter and ticket seller recorded a net loss of $63 million compared with a loss of $69 million in the same quarter last year.<\/p>\n<p>Live Nation said it hosted 4,880 events, up almost 2 percent from the same quarter last year, and attendance rose 12 percent to 8.1 million.<\/p>\n<p>The quarterly results are the first since Greg Maffei replaced Irving Azoff &#8212; manager of The Eagles, Christina Aguilera and other music acts &#8212; as chairman.
