The acoustic instrumentation and ethereal female vocals express a mystical tone, similar to the audio world associated with Clannad. Around 0:58, the arrangement progressively widens, introducing new layers that enhance the track&#8217;s sense of emotion and storytelling character. Soon after, beautiful violin melodies enter the mix, adding to the storytelling depth and giving the song a greater sense of movement and mood. Overall, &#8220;Captain of Destiny&#8221; is a folk ballad with dream pop elements.
