As a slow, peaceful jazzy rhythm begins to develop, the song starts to let out more freely. The groove remains controlled, but it gently pulls the listener in. Joan&#8217;s folk-rooted vocal style is natural and spontaneous, allowing her phrase to flow smoothly over the rhythm. Her voice has a nostalgic songwriter look, with sophisticated folk influences. The arrangement is humble and easy to understand, with space in the audio\u00a0mix to emphasise the power of\u00a0her vocal performance.
