Her brother Chris Corsano (Björk, Kim Gordon, Thurston Moore) contributed the cover artwork, which speaks at the song’s open nature. Ray Ketchem (Guided by Voices, Elk City, Luna, Gramercy Arms) produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered the track at Magic Door Recording Studio. James Mastro (The Bongos, Mott the Hoople, Ian Hunter, Patti Smith, John Cale) and David Nagler (Nova Social, Joan Baez, Aaron Neville, Rosanne Cash, Yo La Tengo) also contributed. The song begins with piano and melodic rock guitar, shortly achieving a balance between neoclassical elegance, rock sophistication, and folk warmth. As the acoustic guitar becomes more noticeable, it gently pulls the piece towards a folk-inspired direction, defining the composition while allowing its inner core to expand. Corsano’s vocals are particularly impressive, showing an astonishing range that at times recalls Kate Bush, both aesthetically and technically, without falling into imitation. Her style of singing is natural and playful, ranging between softness and strength. “Space” is, at its core, a ballad that lives up to its title: the slight space effects around the 1:30 mark act as a transformational bridge, after which the music slows down and becomes more melodic, as if expecting the collapse of ego and the triumph of genuine human connection. While the mastering emphasises a polished, pop-oriented clarity that makes the track attractive to many people, a closer listen exposes deeper levels. Under the surface, there are smart melodic ideas, humble arrangements, and hidden emotional pathways that reward careful listening. This is music that encourages thinking rather than demanding attention. Corsano describes the song’s philosophy beautifully: “I’m a person who may argue a point, but also reserve the right to change my mind mid-debate or after a time and say ‘hey, you’re right’ or ‘I agree with your outlook.’ I dislike having an argument based on the outcome of who will be right… ‘There in the space where no one wins’… where we can find common ground and move forward… In the space that seems ‘empty or non-profitable’ can be the most useful.” That idea is deeply present in the lyrics, as “space” becomes an entity, empty but full of promise, fragile like a feather, sensitive but fundamental. “Space” is a mindful, spiritually deep track that finds beauty in simplicity and significance in openness, showing that the most meaningful moments happen when no one needs to win.

https://celestecorsano.bandcamp.com

https://www.facebook.com/celestecorsano

https://www.instagram.com/corsanoceleste

Celeste Corsano’s “Space” is a calm but effective composition that develops with affection and insight into…

[14,5
4548,1396
post-29393","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pop-rock-reviews","category-reviews","tag-celeste-corsano","tag-folk-rock
["GET
