As the vocals enter, the mood darkens dramatically, highlighting the sad heaviness of Sentenced, but the piano remains uplifting and nostalgic, characteristic of HIM. Very early, it becomes clear that this is a listening experience with a strong Scandinavian influence. The whole atmosphere reminds me of the early 2000s, when the darker, more melodic side of Nordic metal and goth was at its peak. Fans of the era will immediately recognise the song&#8217;s emotional range and familiar tonal style. The gothic melodies flow smoothly with the vocals, resulting in a well-balanced mix of melody and darkness. The music has a lovely feeling of sadness running through it, which is never openly dramatic but always touching and sincere.
