Duplexity’s “Labyrinth” is a very personal progressive-rock ballad that explores the complex intersection of identity, fear, and hidden secrets. According to the band, the track explores the\u00a0struggles of two individuals lost in their own psychological masks, seeking a way out while facing the fragility that comes with exposing their true selves.”This theme creates the emotional atmosphere: a psychological maze with walls that are built by themselves. The tune begins with a constant rock melody, accompanied by peaceful instrumentation that gives a sense of storytelling from the first bars. The vocals begin with a descriptive sound, which is peaceful, private and touched with an almost progressive-rock flavor typical of early Dream Theater’s gentler, more melodic parts.
