Fusing raw alternative rock energy with the weight of metal, the quartet&#8217;s&nbsp;music is an electrifying clash of aggression and euphoria, darkness and uplift, chaos and control. Elements of artists as disparate as&nbsp;<strong>Nine Inch Nails<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Chelsea Wolfe<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Sonic Youth<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Julie Christmas&nbsp;<\/strong>combine to delirious and heady effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Busking on the streets of Belfast from the age of 15,&nbsp;<strong>Amy Montgomery<\/strong>&nbsp;met multi-instrumentalist&nbsp;<strong>Michael Mormecha<\/strong>&nbsp;a few years later and they\u2019ve been working together ever since. Both songwriters in their own right,&nbsp;<strong>Michael<\/strong>&nbsp;fronted&nbsp;renowned Irish post-hardcore outfit&nbsp;<strong>Mojo Fury&nbsp;<\/strong>and worked&nbsp;as a producer for artists including&nbsp;<strong>The Bonnevilles<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Mojo Fury&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Joshua Burnside<\/strong>. They&#8217;re joined as&nbsp;<strong>PREYRS&nbsp;<\/strong>by&nbsp;longtime guitarist&nbsp;<strong>Nolan Donelly&nbsp;<\/strong>and new bass player&nbsp;<strong>Ciar\u00e1n McGreevy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Known for electrifying live performances,&nbsp;<strong>PREYRS&nbsp;<\/strong>made their UK festival debut at&nbsp;<strong>Bloodstock Open Air&nbsp;<\/strong>this August, as well as appearing at&nbsp;<strong>Stendhal Festival&nbsp;<\/strong>in Ireland. Nominated as &#8216;Best Live Act&#8217; and &#8216;Best Artist&#8217; at the Northern Ireland Music Prize,&nbsp;<strong>Amy<\/strong>\u2019s undeniably fierce and captivating frontperson energy has been her secret weapon often described as \u2018otherworldly\u2019 or \u2018a force of nature\u2019.
