The song begins with strange synth pads and an electro beat that\u00a0creates a dark but delightful atmosphere. As April Love&#8217;s ethereal vocals appear, they reflect Siouxsie Sioux&#8217;s ethereal elegance, fading above vibrant basslines and vibrating synths. The production is\u00a0extensive and unique, like a dream in which light and shadow overlap. Conceptually, the song tells &#8220;the story of a love-stricken vampire,&#8221; and the music wonderfully expresses that theme: lovely but tragic, attractive but tragic. The tearing synths and moving soundscapes create a sense of pursuit and escape, while the tempo keeps the listener in motion, creating the &#8220;motorcycle escape&#8221; described by April Love. &#8220;Secret is Out&#8221; builds in the point of transition between darkwave, dream pop, and synth-driven electronica.
