Sitar-like textures and soft acoustics setting the tone for a record filled with nostalgia, reflection, and peaceful beauty. The first full song, &#8220;I Thought I&#8217;d a Friend,&#8221; opens with beautiful acoustic guitar and sad string arrangements, establishing the album&#8217;s emotional core: heartbreak spoken elegantly. Eaton&#8217;s crystalline vocals express a fragile honesty that makes the melancholy feel personal rather than distant. &#8220;Home Again&#8221; stands out as one of the album&#8217;s most memorable tracks. It is filled with 1960s folk-rock tones, recalling the idyllic drama of early Yes and other progressive folk pioneers. The harmony between Ger&#8217;s lead and the ethereal female back\u00a0vocals raises the music to a cinematic level, as if it were a forgotten soundtrack jewel from a &#8217;60s romance film. As Season Changes progresses, folk and neoclassical influences become closer together. The arrangements become more complex without losing their gentle touch: soft string parts, soft keyboard sounds, and expansive harmonies give each track a beautiful, sad light. This is an album that encourages the listener to feel, not simply hear.
