This is, according to the artist, &#8220;a song for anyone who was stuck somewhere and it took everything they had to make a change, but that change was the best decision they ever made.&#8221; The song begins with a soft, 1990s-style rock sound filled with Toto-inspired sounds, combining smooth pop-rock rhythms with moving melodies. The guitar sounds and vocal performance have a nostalgic warmth to it, providing the song a classic, radio-ready touch.  As the song progresses, &#8220;This Place&#8221; evolves into a ballad-like song with both feeling and melodic energy. The sound has a classic 1980s rock vibe, with reverb-heavy guitars and sentimental vocal phrasing typical of Richard Marx or Toto&#8217;s softer moments. While the mastering should be improved to make the sound deeper and more dynamic, the songwriting stands out as authentic, inspiring, and psychologically important.
