The melody, which combines standard pop aesthetic with Renaissance elegance, is &#8220;loosely based on Dear Prudence,&#8221; according to the band, while the bridge is inspired by a Monteverdi madrigal. In addition to being outstanding, this combination changes the song into something everlasting where tradition and experimentation flow together organically. With a storytelling character that wanders between tenderness and &#8220;prophecy,&#8221;\u00a0the vocals drive the song. Their style of singing adds to the song&#8217;s cinematic atmosphere, as though they are leading the listener through a personal story. The band claims that the purposely cryptic lyrics, which pay homage to their guru Steven Pinker, offer the rich music a mysterious and interesting tone.
