The music begins with a mysterious\u00a0beginning, with ethereal female vocals floating around like voices produced across a misty valley. It&#8217;s a starting point that\u00a0brings to mind melodic death metal from the early 1990s, but with a folk touch. The main driving force here, however, is beautiful layers of synths, rather than the guitar-driven aggression that one might expect from Musiol&#8217;s background. They create a mood of 1980s and 1990s gothic music, ranging from darkwave to cinematic soundtrack atmosphere. Guitars are present but dropped down in the final mix, creating some contrast and character without dominating the track&#8217;s ambient melody. That balance enables Musiol to bring together his musical background with an entirely distinct personality, one in which the heavy influence of metal coexists with the mysterious air of gothic folk. The end result is a track that is\u00a0nostalgic,\u00a0a mix of gothic electronica, folk spirituality, and a hidden tribute to Musiol&#8217;s early death metal influences.
