UK gothic metal pioneers PARADISE LOST<\/strong> have announced the dates for the first leg of their ASCENSION OF EUROPE TOUR 2025.

Italian band MESSA<\/strong> will be direct support on all dates with HIGH PARASITE<\/strong> opening on the UK dates and LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE<\/strong> on selected mainland Europe shows.

Formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in 1988,\u00a0PARADISE LOST<\/strong>\u00a0were unlikely candidates for metal glory when they slithered from the shadows and infiltrated the UK underground. But not content with spawning an entire subgenre with early death\/doom masterpiece\u00a0Gothic<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>nor with conquering the metal mainstream with the balls-out power of 1995\u2019s\u00a0Draconian Times<\/em>,<\/strong>\u00a0they have subsequently traversed multiple genre boundaries with skill and grace, evolving through the pitch-black alt-rock mastery of \u201890s classics\u00a0One Second<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Host<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to the muscular but ornate grandeur of 2009\u2019s\u00a0Faith Divides Us \u2013 Death Unites Us<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Tragic Idol<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(2012), with the nonchalant finesse of grand masters. The band\u2019s last two albums \u2013\u00a0The Plague Within<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(2015) and\u00a0Medusa\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(2017) \u2013 saw a much celebrated return to brutal, old school thinking, via two crushing monoliths to slow-motion death and spiritual defeat. Consistently hailed as one of metal\u2019s most charismatic live bands,\u00a0PARADISE LOST<\/strong>\u00a0arrive in this new decade as veterans, legends and revered figureheads for several generations of gloomy metalheads. In keeping with their unerring refusal to deliver the expected, 2020 brings one of the band\u2019s most diverse and devastating creations to date. Their last album\u00a0Obsidian\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>was released in spring 2020, hitting international charts with great success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
