The music, which has musical comparisons to bands such as Paramore and Green Day, remains&nbsp;nostalgic,&nbsp;acting as the perfect audio mirror for the mental chaos it represents. The song begins with reverbed bass and groovy&nbsp;guitar tones,&nbsp;taking the listener into a dramatic scene. The chorus enters at 0:49, a planned move that increases the sense of suspense. The enigmatic line &#8220;If they call my name&#8221; is performed with an increasing vocal power, acting as both a plea and protest. This is like standing on the edge of a stage, unsure whether to enjoy&nbsp;the glory or run for the exit. What makes &#8220;Award Show&#8221; stand out is its structure. Following the dramatic&nbsp;chorus, the track returns to its initial&nbsp;mode, allowing the vocals to take on a more storytelling, even confessional character. This push-and-pull between dramatic peak and slower elements&nbsp;gives the piece a cinematic&nbsp;aspect, as if you were seeing a character fall apart on TV, scene by scene. AudioGust&#8217;s lyrics are direct and to the point. Lines like &#8220;I never wrote anything \/ I&#8217;ll make it up on the fly&#8221; and &#8220;Even I don&#8217;t believe in me&#8221; are sincere&nbsp;and &nbsp;relevant to anybody who has ever doubted their own success.
