The song starts out with a powerful sound characteristic of Midnight Oil; sharp, rough guitar riffs and a vibrant vocal style\u00a0that brings\u00a0a classic 1990s vibe. The melodic hooks have a nostalgic pop-rock look, comparable of the days of Roxette. But just when you think you&#8217;ve figured out the path, it takes an unexpected turn. Around 1:30, electronic components show up, turning the song into a\u00a0 kind of\u00a0self-contained remix. It&#8217;s a smart move; like entering a clubbing\u00a0other version of the same track, before the guitars move back in at 1:43, recovering the lead and adding a groovy\u00a0tempo that keeps the energy strong. At 2:26, the mood changes once more. The music\u00a0fades away, enabling the vocals to take shape in a more inner context. The melody gradually fades away, the layers combining into a smooth fade that created an impression of lust, as if the night never truly ended. &#8220;All The Lonely Nights&#8221; is dynamic and unpredictable, unwilling to keep to a single lane.
