The song opens with reverbed guitars characteristic of U2, developing a nostalgic but groovy atmosphere. As the song develops, it combines aspects of 1990s alternative rock, mixing direct feelings and ethereal sounds. The lo-fi production provides a DIY element to the song, offering it an underground touch. Vocoder effects on the vocals provide them with an ethereal, almost intriguing air, but the warm, radio-friendly vocal style stands out despite limitations in production. The lyrics in English, Greek, and Papiamento provide a unique cultural depth to the song, emphasizing both its global and personal story. My Shadows / Η Σκιές Μoυ / Mi Sombranan is a hypnotic listen for fans of underground and innovative music.
