The song begins with distorted 1980s-style synths in a lo-fi aesthetic, bringing out feelings of melancholy and alienation. When Anji Bee&#8217;s ethereal voice appears, the track takes on a dream-pop character, with her performance colored by a dark, romantic desire that repeats the lyrical ideas of isolation and confusion. At 1:20, the music changes to a more experimental ambient context, including a combination of samples and layered sounds. Anji Bee&#8217;s voice take on an almost dreamy, Eastern-influenced tone, merging smoothly into the changing sound. The sound has an ethereal nevertheless slight industrial vibe, which contributes to the song&#8217;s core tension\u2014trapped between nostalgia and an unknown future. The words represent an incredibly personal struggle, but one that is widely recognized. Restless Mosaic&#8217;s music\u00a0production wonderfully fits the subject matter, combining dark, cinematic elements with an ever-changing electronic soundscape.
