‘Boxed’ is a seven song digital EP reissue by leading Swedish post-punk\/goth act\u00a0Then Comes Silence<\/strong>. Consisting of two songs in Spanish, two instrumentals, two remixes and one outtake from their 2022 album, \u2018Hunger\u2019, the tracks were originally included as part of a sold-out box set version of that release.

The reissue comes at the conclusion of the band\u2019s upcoming second US tour to promote \u2018Trickery\u2019, their magnificent seventh full-length album released in April 2024. A further set of dates in mainland Europe have also been announced (see below), while the autumn will see a return to the UK for festival and club shows.

\u2018Trickery\u2019 is home to the singles \u2018Ride Or Die\u2019 VIDEO<\/a> and \u2018Like A Hammer\u2019 VIDEO<\/a>, plus other genre anthems such as ‘Stay Strange\u2019 VIDEO<\/a>, which features Dusty Gannon of Vision Video. Collecting accolades galore, it has seen them favourably compared to original UK dark rock overlords such as Joy Division, Bauhaus and Killing Joke, plus compatriots The Leather Nun.

A brand new lyric video for another song from the album, \u2018Feel The Cold\u2019, is available from today and can be seen HERE<\/a>. “On my final journey, I aim to be prepared and look sharp, which is what this song is about,”<\/em> states band frontman Alex Svenson. “The last photograph of David Bowie on the hospital roof, taken just days before his passing, has inspired me. He remained elegant until the end.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With drummer Jonas Fransson laying down an energetic backbeat and Hugo Zombie providing rhythmic guitar lines, the solid basslines and velvety croon of Svenson are enhanced on ‘Trickery’ by retro synth sounds for what is a stunning and superbly recorded collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formed in 2012, Then Comes Silence initially built a large audience in Germany via frequent touring, their fanbase widening as they began sharing stages with artists such as A Place To Bury Strangers, Chameleons and Fields Of The Nephilim, as well as performing at festivals throughout mainland Europe. Regularly releasing high quality new material, they have worked hard to promote it and are now recognised as a leading act in their genre worldwide.
