The music begins with unconventional key signatures and reversed playing styles,\u00a0creating an\u00a0experimental atmosphere. At 0:55, the bass takes over, putting down groovy, complicated lines which act as a strong basis for the drums and guitar to develop on. The interplay between the instruments is nothing less than outstanding leading in an intensity-changing musical\u00a0discussion. The dynamics are well achieved, easily moving between\u00a0slower\u00a0parts\u00a0and surprising bursts of chaotic energy\u2014particularly the guitar performance, which has remarkable technical ability and expressive range. Despite being an instrumental composition, &#8220;Radical&#8221; has an intriguing narrative dimension, as if the instruments were speaking in a language only they understand.
