Independent pop rock musician Livvy English, based in Brighton, UK, has released a powerful song titled “Change The World.” This song is a daring and passionate call to action for women to oppose the sexist and repressive beliefs that are still widespread in modern society. From the very start, “Change The World” hits hard with its robust rock tone. The guitar work is particularly notable, providing a gritty, driving force that underscores the song’s message of defiance and empowerment. However, there is a slight drawback in the mastering of the guitar sound, which could benefit from further treatment to achieve a clearer and more polished finish. Livvy English sings beautifully, catching the listener’s attention with her passionate and expressive performance. Her performance is honest and passionate, especially at 2:18 when she displays her amazing falsetto skills. This section of the song changes dramatically, sending the listener into a state of sustained emotion as it builds to its melodic climax. “Change The World” has straightforward and outspoken lyrics. English takes on issues of female empowerment and defiance of patriarchal standards head-on. Women are no longer prepared to be undervalued or subjected to outmoded, sexist notions, as the music unmistakably communicates. The spirit of revolution and transformation in the song is expressed in lines like “this used to be a man’s world long ago, but now the girls are here to change the world.” The chorus and lyrics blend together perfectly to create a story that makes the audience reevaluate their assumptions about gender roles. Phrases like “you think you teach us what we need to know, but it’s really no big deal, we could teach you something” criticize the arrogant behavior of people who undervalue women while emphasizing the competency and autonomy of women. The song succeeds in capturing the spirit of defiance and hope for a better, more equitable world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
