Audiences have been patiently awaiting the opportunity to catch a live performance from former-PiL innovator Jah Wobble ever since it was announced that the visionary figure and pioneering post-punk producer\/multi-instrumentalist would be crossing the pond for a multi-week run on North American shores. Now that the wait is almost over, Wobble has just released an extended two-track single that offers a sumptuous taste of what\u2019s in store for those lucky enough to score a ticket!

Recorded at the historic Lighthouse in Dorset, England, the single highlights two songs from PiL\u2019s landmark 1979\u00a0Metal Box\u00a0<\/em>album, \u201cCareering\u201d and \u201cNo Birds (Do Sing),\u201d which have been filtered, morphed and reinvented by Wobble and his longtime collaborator Jon Klein (Siouxsie & The Banshees\/Specimen) in front of an enthralled audience. A studio version of \u201cCareering\u201d was featured on Wobble\u2019s 2021 album\u00a0Metal Box – Rebuilt In Dub,<\/em>\u00a0but as these live recordings show, Wobble\u2019s stage performance offers an even more expansive vision of the songs, stretching them out into epic-length opuses and giving them room to breathe and grow into musical behemoths!
