{"id":2214,"date":"2012-10-25T05:10:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-25T05:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/skylight.gr\/administrator_wordpress\/index.php\/2012\/10\/25\/coheed-and-cambria\/"},"modified":"2012-10-25T05:10:00","modified_gmt":"2012-10-25T05:10:00","slug":"coheed-and-cambria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skylight.gr\/index.php\/2012\/10\/25\/coheed-and-cambria\/","title":{"rendered":"Coheed and Cambria postpones shows"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.netmusiczone.com\/index.php?rex_resize=150c__120h__coheed.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>New York progressive rockers COHEED AND CAMBRIA have been forced to postpone all of their previously announced headlining shows this month so that vocalist\/guitarist Claudio Sanchez can receive treatment for throat swelling.Commented Sanchez: &#8220;I am truly devastated to tell you that I [could not] perform [Monday night, October 22] in St. Louis and that we will be postponing all headline shows this week until after Thanksgiving.  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After\u00a0holding off [Sunday] night, we felt confident I\u2019d be good to go [on\u00a0Monday], but I have spent all morning in a doctor\u2019s office in St Louis\u00a0where they did a full evaluation on my throat and found some swelling\u00a0that could possibly cause some long-term damage if i continue without\u00a0rest.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am flying back to New York to see my normal doctor and get fully on the mend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u00a0know this is a big disappointment, especially for those of you in St\u00a0Louis \u2014 it really hurts us to do this, but it&#8217;s what we have to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>COHEED AND CAMBRIA&#8217;s new album, &#8220;The Afterman: Ascension&#8221;, sold 49,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Afterman&#8221; is being released in two separate full-length volumes. The first volume, &#8220;The Afterman: Ascension&#8221;, was made available on both physical and digital platforms in the U.S. on October 9 via Hundred Handed\/Everything Evil, and distributed through Fontana\/Ingrooves (available in Canada via Universal Music Canada).
