Despite their demand as a live act, No Alternative only managed to commit a handful of songs to vinyl during their original run. The group\u2019s three-song \u201cBacktracks\u201d EP appeared on Subterranean Records in 1980, while \u201cJohnny Get Your Gun\u201d and \u201cDead Men Tell No Lies\u201d surfaced on local compilation LPs. KALX Radio deejay Terry Hammer was on hand to capture the soundboard mix for the previously unreleased\u00a0<em>Live at Mabuhay Gardens: November 7, 1980<\/em>. The band\u2019s lineup for this show was Hugh Patterson (aka \u201cJohn Genocide,\u201d also of K.G.B. and the Offs) on lead vocals and guitar, Jeff Rees on bass and backing vocals, and Greg Langston on drums and backing vocals. The final pair of tracks on this release \u2014 \u201cWitch Doctor\u201d and \u201cWorking Class Boy\u201d \u2014\u00a0are previously unreleased studio recordings from 1980 and 1982. This is the latest entry in Liberation Hall\u2019s \u201cSounds from the San Francisco Underground\u201d series. Digital single\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=ac1f4e9505&amp;e=3fa8732dab\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cWorking Class Boy\u201d<\/a>\u00a0is out now.<br>\u00a0<br>The current lineup of No Alternative features Patterson and Langston alongside drummer John Hansen.
