Multi-instrumentalist Damon Kardon (The Moats, Gypsy Trail, E & Special Tea) has a solo project called Brand Slogan. It is a musical endeavour that draws significantly on the genre-defining bands and the music Damon listened to growing up (Alt-Metal, Emo, Shoegaze, Progressive Rock). The EP “Brand Slogan” by the artist of the same name is a unique and intriguing Rock listening experience. The EP consists of four tracks that showcase Brand Slogan’s distinctive sound, which is a blend of experimental rock music, Alternative Rock, and Post-Punk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The EP includes an unusual cover of the song “Eye in the Sky” which was released by Alan Parsons. The track features a hypnotic rhythm and atmospheric vocals, and as the track progresses, the guitars become heavier and more intense. After listening to the track a couple of times, I started liking and exploring its structure with great interest due to the “underground” attitude that the song adopts by the musical perspective of the Brand Slogan. The only thing I would change about this track and the rest of the EP is the audio production so that I can hear some of the parts that pique my interest in this EP more clearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall, the “Brand Slogan” EP is a thought-provoking and introspective release that offers a unique and captivating listening experience. The experimental heavy rock soundscapes and politically charged themes combine to create an engrossing and engaging musical journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
