Both aspects of the band come together in a spectacular way on their first single of the new year, the hyper-kinetic \u201cNightmare,\u201d which is released today on all digital platforms. The song is, at its heart, a twisted love song for the cyber age, one that celebrates the special kind of visceral, carnal passion of colliding opposites \u2013 in other words, the perfect DK-Zero Valentine\u2019s Day song!\u00a0<br><br>Vocalist and bandleader D-Punk kicks off the track with a sinister Rob Zombie-esque verse before the song jumps into high gear with D-Punk\u2019s vocals going from a whisper to a scream and everything in between. Meanwhile the elaborately produced backing track feels barely contained, as if it might explode or collapse at any moment, and it\u2019s a stunning achievement that the song not only coheres but embeds itself in the listener\u2019s conscious mind.
