Through the song&#8217;s lyrics, the female singer expresses her inner feelings and a modern storytelling style: &#8220;the first snow falls on New York City\/I lie awake in the soft white light\/I breathe in all the world&#8217;s beauty\/but it&#8217;s not enough to change my mind.&#8221; The romance is intertwined with an inner fear, which is technically expressed through the dystopian but successful lo-fi musical influences from Dark Wave and Electronica. The fuzzy production does not sound bad; on the contrary, it creates an artistic antithesis with the beautiful vocals, and the final result is dark and awesome.
