OPETH <\/strong>are peerless. Since 1990, the Swedes have eclipsed convention, defiantly crushed the odds, and, most importantly, crafted 13 stunningly beautiful, intrinsically intense albums to become one of the biggest progressive rock\/metal bands on the planet – and they\u2019re still only getting better, even after selling more than two million records and hitting the #1 in the German album charts with their album “Sorceress<\/strong>” in 2016. Now back on US tour with Mastodon <\/strong>in April and May 2022, the band around unmatched frontman Mikael \u00c5kerfeldt <\/strong>announces the release of “In Cauda Venenum (Extended Edition)”<\/strong> for May 13th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This release, available on digipak, contains the English and Swedish versions of OPETH<\/strong>\u2019s latest album “In Cauda Venenum” <\/strong>with new illustrations by internationally renowned Travis Smith<\/strong> in the booklet. In addition, there is also a third CD including 3 unreleased bonus tracks, both in English and Swedish:

“In Cauda Venenum (Extended Edition)<\/strong>” is now available for pre-order. Also on May 13th, the album’s strictly limited “Connoisseur Edition”<\/strong> vinyl boxset which includes the same bonus tracks but remastered by Mikael Akerfeldt specifically for vinyl, will be available in the North American retail stores for the first time. Both album editions will also be available at the band’s merch table on the upcoming North American Tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
