Rick Pierce<\/strong> is a founding member, lead guitar and songwriter of the legendary Seattle hard rock band TKO<\/strong>, whose debut release Let It Roll<\/strong> continues to cement the band\u2019s cult-like status. Pierce then went on to play with Q5<\/strong> (with Floyd Rose<\/strong>, acclaimed inventor of the Floyd Rose tremolo system) whose album Steel The Light<\/strong> goes down as an all-time classic.

Pierce recently returned with Rick Pierce Group (RPG<\/strong>) and subsequently delivered a new single Tick Tock<\/strong> which was released by Crusader Records.<\/strong>Rick Pierce Group (RPG<\/strong>) are set to follow that up with a new single \u2018Brick by Brick\u2019<\/strong> that will be released digitally on 7th<\/sup> December.

Rick Pierce<\/strong> and songwriter Floyd Rose<\/strong> (in a guest appearance) put up a rock-solid wall of guitars (reminiscent of their NWOBHM classic anthem, Q5\u2019s <\/strong>Steel the Light<\/strong>) in RPG<\/strong>\u2019s new single \u2018Brick by Brick\u2019,<\/strong> in front of which vocal belter Chris James<\/strong> exhorts his listeners to \u201ctear down the walls\u201d, while Frankie Rongo<\/strong> on drums and Izzy Rehaume<\/strong> on bass lay down the pounding rhythm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rick Pierce <\/strong>is a founding member, lead guitar and songwriter of the legendary Seattle hard rock band TKO<\/strong>, whose debut release Let It Roll<\/strong> continues to cement the band\u2019s cult-like status. TKO<\/strong> toured the world with the likes of AC\/DC<\/strong>, Van Halen<\/strong> and other huge acts. Rick\u2019s unique arsenal of guitar pyrotechnics provided the backbone of the unmistakable TKO<\/strong> sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following his successful stint with TKO<\/strong>, Rick remained true to his metal roots and teamed up as lead guitarist for power metal band Q5<\/strong> with Floyd Rose<\/strong>, acclaimed inventor of the Floyd Rose tremolo system. Buoyed by tremendous word-of-mouth and subsequent critical acclaim for their self-released first album, Q5<\/strong> was signed by the influential British metal label, Music for Nations (Metallica, Manowar<\/strong>). Q5<\/strong>\u2019s album Steel the Light<\/strong>, produced by Floyd, is still considered a classic in metal and hard rock circles worldwide and continues to sell in all formats to this day. The opening thrasher Missing in Action<\/strong> is one of Rick\u2019s best known compositions. Polygram<\/strong>Records<\/strong> released the album in North America and distributed the next album, When the Mirror Cracks <\/strong>on Cliff Bernstein and Peter Mensch\u2019s Squawk<\/strong> label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suicide Squad<\/strong>, a project with his former singer in TKO<\/strong>, Brad Sinsel<\/strong> marked Rick\u2019s return to Music For Nations<\/strong>, and after Q5<\/strong>\u2019s split MFN<\/strong> signed Rick\u2019s new band, Nightshade<\/strong> for the indie chart topping album Dead of Night<\/strong>. Two more Nightshade<\/strong> albums followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q5<\/strong>\u00a0staged a reunion (Floyd couldn\u2019t take part) at\u00a0Sweden Rock Festival<\/strong>\u00a0in 2014. \u00a0This ultimately resulted in a third\u00a0Q5<\/strong>\u00a0album on\u00a0Frontiers Records<\/strong>. \u00a0Rose and Pierce then began a new songwriting\/recording collaboration with Floyd again as producer and Rick on guitar joined by\u00a0Chris James<\/strong>\u00a0on vocals,\u00a0Izzy Rehaume<\/strong>\u00a0on bass and\u00a0Frankie Rongo\u00a0<\/strong>on drums. Chris is Floyd’s discovery from Southern California while Frankie and Izzy are Rick\u2019s past touring and recording mates, Frankie with\u00a0Nightshade<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Q5<\/strong>, and Izzy with the (ex-Metal Church) Ronny Munroe Project. \u00a0RPG<\/strong>\u00a0are recording their new project between Floyd’s studio in Southern California and the studio in Washington State where Rick did the tracking for\u00a0Q5<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0New World Order.<\/strong>
