Australian rock band LEADFINGER <\/strong>are due to release their fantastic new album in early 2022 through Golden Robot Records<\/strong>, their first since the highly regarded 2016 album, Friday Night Heroes<\/strong>.

In the lead up, the band are teasing the album by releasing their most notable singles, the second of which is \u2018The Fall of Rome<\/em>\u2019<\/strong>, an epic follow up to the earlier NOBODY KNOWS <\/strong>single from June. ‘The Fall Of Rome’<\/em><\/strong> is out now on all digital platforms.

\u2018The Fall of Rome\u2019<\/strong> came to the band\u2019s songwriter Stewart Cunningham<\/strong> in a dream and rides on the back of a haunting guitar arpeggio and lyric about the eternity of love in a dying world. This may well be LEADFINGER\u2019S <\/strong>finest musical moment, evocative of the Blue Oyster Cult<\/strong> classic \u2018Don\u2019t Fear the Reaper\u2019 <\/strong>and brimming with 70\u2019s rock guitar flourishes and vocal harmonies.

LEADFINGER <\/strong>have been a mainstay on the underground rock scene since the mid 2000\u2019s, releasing numerous albums through labels like Citadel Records<\/strong> and Bang! Records<\/strong> out of Spain. LEADFINGER <\/strong>have now returned to playing live in 2021 as part of the Golden Robot Records<\/strong> roster.

ABOUT LEADFINGER<\/strong>
The name LEADFINGER <\/strong>was originally a nome de plume for the band\u2019s songwriter\/ guitarist Stewart Cunningham<\/strong>, and stems from a brotherly air rifle shooting incident from when he was a teenager.

After first plying his guitar-slinger trade in the late 80\u2019s with Wollongong\u2019s seminal pre-grunge Proton Energy Pills<\/strong>, Cunningham<\/strong> headed to Sydney to play in underground guitar bands – Brother Brick<\/strong>, Asteroid B-612 <\/strong>and Challenger-7<\/strong>, as well as a stint in Melbourne with The Yes-Men<\/strong>.

LEADFINGER <\/strong>was formed in 2006 and morphed into a twin guitar rock n\u2019 roll band in 2008 with a 4 piece line up that has remained unchanged since that time. They toured Europe in October of 2017.

LEADFINGER<\/strong> are a real rock\u2019n\u2019roll band, and their influences stretch back through the 70\u2019s rock and punk eras, through the classic Stones and Dylan records of the 60\u2019s, the blues and beyond. Their timeless songwriting and heart-on-sleeve delivery has won them many fans. They have had no hits, won no awards and are working on an Instagram page. They will release their 6th album, titled SILVER & BLACK <\/strong>through Golden Robot Records <\/strong>in 2022!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
