Shallow Side<\/strong>\u00a0have\u00a0released a\u00a0new song \u201cDanger Zone<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 today via\u00a0Thermal Entertainment<\/strong>. A cover of the 1986\u00a0originally performed by\u00a0Kenny Loggins\u00a0<\/strong>for the\u00a0Top Gun<\/strong>\u00a0movie soundtrack.\u00a0Eric Boatright\u00a0<\/strong>on why they covered these songs “Being strapped up during the covid segment, it gave us a chance to revisit some of rock n roll’s finest. Ya know, life gives ya lemons, make rock n roll.”<\/em>\u00a0The song is also the third and final\u00a0cover song\u00a0recorded during the pandemic at Instamix Studios in Iowa. Earlier this year they released two additional covers of\u00a0 their\u00a0favorite 80s hits,\u00a0the first being\u00a0“Juke Box Hero”\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0Foreigner\u00a0<\/strong>followed up with\u00a0“Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0Journey<\/strong>.\u00a0Back in 2016, the band\u00a0covered\u00a0Styx<\/strong>‘s “Renegade”<\/strong>\u00a0which got rave reviews from\u00a0Tommy Shaw<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Eddie Trunk<\/strong>.
