SILVY<\/strong> is a priority new global signing for Warner Music. She\u2019s releasing her Body Positivity Anthem \u2018XL<\/strong>\u2019 on August 20th, 2021 (International Body Confidence Day). But the Thai-Italian pop star SILVY is way more than an artist with a powerhouse vocal. Her highly engaged and loyal followers love her because she’s passionate about female empowerment and promoting confidence around body positivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SILVY represents the Woman of 2021, and her followers agree, with over <\/strong>\u2153 million of them on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At only 25 years old, she\u2019s already something of a veteran in the entertainment industry. An award-nominated musician and television actress, she has contributed her distinctive R&B vocal to numerous official soundtracks, as well as appearing on hit reality TV shows such as The Voice (Thailand) and The Masked Singer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although SILVY <\/strong>\u2019s career has traversed a vast and diverse terrain already, that isn\u2019t to say there haven\u2019t been a few bumps along the road. As such, \u2018XL\u2019 is not merely an anthem for body positivity, it\u2019s a personal manifesto \u2013 a song that serves as a reminder to SILVY as much as it sets an example for her audience. \u2018XL\u2019 candidly tells of SILVY<\/strong>\u2019s early experiences with record labels, who attempted to push her into conforming to an image that simply wasn\u2019t her own. When she sings \u201cPeople used to put me in a box \/ They made me something that I\u2019m not\u201d, SILVY<\/strong> is recounting her reluctance to physically transform and feminise herself in pursuit of her creative ambitions. Yet the track doesn\u2019t allow itself to sink into melancholic introspection. Instead, it\u2019s an unashamedly fun, celebratory, party-anthem. And SILVY has plenty to celebrate, having now come to understand the kind of artist, moreover, the kind of woman, that she is and wants to be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As SILVY<\/strong> explains: \u201cI wanted to make a track about my story so far, and include a main theme of my life (body positivity). I had the time of my life working on this song\u201d. \u2018XL\u2019 has been co-written and produced by Karma X\u2019s Richard Craker (Jolin Tsai, Liam Gallagher, LYRA, DNCE etc.) alongside other co-writers Stephen Jones and singer-songwriter Valentina Ploy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

XL\u2019 is the first of many anthems that will be released this year and early industry commentators have described her as \u2018The Asian P!NK\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love performing and have always dreamt that my music would be heard worldwide\u201d <\/em>says SILVY<\/strong>. Her own dreams align with Warner and Karma X\u2019s intentions, as they have bold ambitions with \u2018a heavy focus on breaking both Asia and the USA\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
