The full-length is available for pre-order at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=a7f82c1823&amp;e=3fa8732dab\">Bandcamp<\/a>\u00a0in both autographed and standard CD formats, as well as digital download.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>\u201c\u2019Are You Good Enough\u2019 is a fierce feminist statement,\u201d said\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=06d529017c&amp;e=3fa8732dab\">Foley<\/a>. \u201cIt reminds me of Shania Twain \u2014 very country but also very rock \u2018n\u2019 roll.\u201d Fans of classic FM radio will find much to admire as the song opens with a combination of party-starting power chords and a massive drumbeat. \u201cOur intention was for the song to land somewhere between AC\/DC and Brownsville Station,\u201d said its songwriter,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=d2e1e9e74f&amp;e=3fa8732dab\">Paul Foglino<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a love song for people who know better \u2014 they\u2019ve been through the wringer, either together or individually, and they\u2019ve emerged on the other side.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Are You Good Enough   Ellen Foley\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CMA6sDXrSjU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foley and Foglino have been collaborating on songwriting and live performances for over a decade. In 2013,\u00a0<em>The Huffington Post<\/em>\u00a0greeted the Foglino-produced\u00a0<em>About Time<\/em>\u00a0album with \u201cMs. Foley is back on the battlefield with her first album in thirty years \u2014 a kickass roots rock affair,\u201d while\u00a0<em>Blogcritics<\/em>\u00a0called it \u201ca mature, personal, and powerful album.\u201d<br>\u00a0<br>Next month\u2019s follow-up\u00a0<em>Fighting Words<\/em>\u00a0is a set of rock \u2018n\u2019 roll tunes in the tradition of Bruce Springsteen\u2019s E Street Band and Bob Seger\u2019s Silver Bullet Band. Foglino produced the LP and assembled the musicians. Among the players are\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=255910e56e&amp;e=3fa8732dab\">C.P. Roth<\/a>, who contributes bass guitar, keyboards, and drums. Roth was collaborating with Foley in the Off-Broadway production of\u00a0<em>Club Dada\u00a0<\/em>(co-written by Foley and Robert I. Rubinsky) at La Mama in Manhattan when the show was closed due to Covid-19.\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=ab2de5755a&amp;e=3fa8732dab\">Steve Goulding<\/a>, the primary drummer for the sessions, was previously a member of Graham Parker &amp; the Rumour and the Mekons.\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=9e2b4d3fbe&amp;e=3fa8732dab\">Ula Hedwig<\/a>, a longtime friend of Foley\u2019s, provides backing vocals. Hedwig\u2019s resume includes extensive work with Darlene Love, and also with Bette Midler as a Harlette.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>The wide array of talent has delivered a diverse, radio-friendly collection of eleven songs. First single \u201cI\u2019m Just Happy to Be Here\u201d is a\u00a0jubilant\u00a0sugar rush featuring Foley duetting with fellow Meat Loaf alumnae\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=d5fadb7ae3&amp;e=3fa8732dab\">Karla DeVito<\/a>. \u201cLeave Him Janie\u201d is a tender rocker that evokes the storied days of Laurel Canyon. \u201cI\u2019ll Be True\u201d and Foley\u2019s cover of Wilson Pickett\u2019s \u201cI Found a Love\u201d are emotive rhythm &amp; blues infused with the girl group harmonies which enraptured Foley as a youth in St. Louis. \u201cI Call My Pain by Your Name\u201d is Foglino\u2019s convincing take on country blues.\u00a0\u00a0And while the record is primarily an organic-sounding, roots-rock affair, the closing track, Foley\u2019s version of Meat Loaf\u2019s \u201cHeaven Can Wait,\u201d finds the vocalist closing the curtain with an altogether different dramatic flair. Although Foley did not contribute to the original version of this Steinman-penned track from\u00a0<em>Bat Out of Hell<\/em>, she now makes it fully her own, with a dramatic, show-stopping solo vocal performance.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Foley\u2019s version of \u201cHeaven Can Wait\u201d was originally recorded for the soundtrack of the 2016 film\u00a0<em>Lies I Told My Little Sister<\/em>, which featured her in a supporting role. Foley has an extensive career as an actress, including roles in\u00a0<em>Hair\u00a0<\/em>(1979),\u00a0<em>Tootsie<\/em>\u00a0(1982),\u00a0<em>Fatal Attraction<\/em>\u00a0(1987),\u00a0<em>Married to the Mob<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Cocktail<\/em>\u00a0(both 1988), and as a series regular on season two of NBC-TV\u2019s\u00a0<em>Night Court<\/em>\u00a0(1984-1985).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Fighting Words<\/em>: Tracklist:<\/strong><br>\u00a0<br>1.
