\u00a0Following the release of their incredibly well-received full-length album,\u00a0Contra<\/em>, Barcelona-based post-punk collective Paranormales are unveiling a brand-new remix project.\u00a0Versus<\/em>\u00a0unites an international line-up of electronic, darkwave and gothic artists – from French duo Velvet Condom to Austin TX-based This Cold Night, Italian darkwavers Hapax to synth maestro Luna Blanc of S Y Z G Y X – who have taken each of the songs from\u00a0Contra<\/em>\u00a0and completely reimagined them with their own artistic sensibility and style. The result is a thrilling and refreshing trip through a dark and moody album with added depth and weight from the contributions of the supremely talented remixers.\u00a0

Speaking about the project, Paranormales adds \u201cWe have found a dark family in different parts of the world who understand music as we do. In this rare year, it has been a wonderful experience to share this project and see how our music can have many different lives and perspectives that connect perfectly.\u201d

Paranormales is the uniquely creative project of J. Carlos Delgado (bass, synths, vocals), Ana Ruiz (vocals, keys), David Toro (guitar) and Diogo Santos (drums). The quartet first came together in 2016 and issued their first album\u00a0Belona<\/em>\u00a0a year later followed by the 2019 remix EP\u00a0Juno<\/em>. 2020 marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band as they have partnered with US indie giant Cleopatra Records, who released the band\u2019s second full-length album\u00a0Contra<\/em>\u00a0on June 19, 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
