Laura Meade\u2019s new studio album,\u00a0The Most Dangerous Woman in America<\/em>, due on May 21, 2021 on Doone Records, marks Meade\u2019s follow up to her solo debut, 2018\u2019s\u00a0Remedium<\/em>\u00a0and 2019\u2019s\u00a0Don\u2019t Panic<\/em>\u00a0with New York progressive rock septet IZZ.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Most Dangerous Woman<\/em>\u00a0in America, co-written with IZZ bandmate John Galgano between March and December of 2020, explores the story of a woman whose voice was silenced and whose story was all but forgotten by her own country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs we wrote the music and lyrics for this album, John and I realized that the concept and story that inspired us was not just the story of one woman, but also the story of all of those who stay true to themselves regardless of the cost,\u201d says Meade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u201cThere have been so many people throughout history \u2013 many of them women \u2013 who stand up for themselves, stand up for what they believe in, and experience great pain and suffering for doing so, their memories and voices lost along the way to gossip and rumor. I hope that this album, in some small way, honors and gives voice to the forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the pulsing forward-momentum of \u201cLeaving\u201d to the majesty of \u201cIconoclast\u201d to the mystery and passion of \u201cForgive Me,\u201d\u00a0The Most Dangerous Woman in America<\/em>\u00a0explores the sincerity, emotion, and authenticity that so often lie beyond the gossip and sensationalism of fame and celebrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis album was written to honor the forgotten: those whose stories remain untold, whose lives have been neutralized by those with unchecked power,\u201d says Meade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meade\u2019s new album features the songs \u201cBurned at the Stake\u201d and the title track, both available on April 23, 2021 for purchase by pre-ordering the full album at\u00a0izzmusic.bandcamp.com<\/a>\u00a0and for streaming on Spotify.\u00a0
